Ash's fingers fumbled with a mess of ear buds. They had somehow tangled up in her pocket, and she was slightly frustrated with them. Her hands were already numb from the cold. It wasn't snowing, but it seemed chilly enough. Gusts of wind happened every so often, sending orange leaves flying in the air, along with her red hair. The sun had been shining earlier, giving warmth to what ended up being a day that gave London the impression of snow.

... Not to say that the snow or cold really bothered Ashley, of course. She figured that if little kids could still run around at the park, she could go out to the park and listen to music or something of the sort. Imagine Dragons or something.

"I can help you with that if you're having trouble," said a silvery voice.

Ashley looked up, startled. "E-er-" She quickly stopped, realizing that the person suddenly sitting next to her was a man with curly blonde hair and blue eyes.

    Tom Hiddleston.

    Tom. Hiddleston.

Tom grinned at her, giving a slight wave with his hand. "Hello there!"

"H-hi, Tom." She waved a wire-tangled hand back, still trying to get over the fact that there was this stunningly handsome man suddenly sitting next to her. "I, uh... You don't need to help if you're too busy. Being a celebrity and all that, right? I mean, you proba-"

"Not at all, dear," he replied, reaching over and gently taking her ear buds from her hands.

It was hard for Ashley not to stare at Tom while he bit his lip and started untangling. This guy was... stunningly attractive. And famous. She imagined it'd be a bit of a hassle to get around with people knowing your name the minute they see you.

Ashley coughed, realizing that she had ended up staring at Tom anyway. "So, um, how... How are you?"

"Aha!" Tom suddenly held up the ear buds, triumphant. "There we go." He placed them in her hand and smiled. "Sorry; that was rude. I'm doing fine. What's your name? I'm afraid I didn't catch it."

"Oh no," Ash plugged her ear buds into her iPod. "It's fine. I'm Ashley."

"Nice to meet you, Ashley." There was amusement in his voice for some reason. "Well, you know me, of course. What were you planning on listening to?"

"Imagine Dragons." She grinned for a second, then hastily added, "I don't know if you know them, but if you'd like to listen to a song or two with me, then..."

"Of course!" He nodded. "It'd a great pleasure, miss."

Ashley handed Tom one of the ear buds, then took her own and put it in her ear. She felt him move closer to her, causing her to blush.

"Oh, sorry." He turned towards her. "Am I too close for you?"

Was she that obvious? She laughed awkwardly, moving some hair away from her face. "Uh, no. It's cool," she replied, scrolling down until she found "Demons".

The only sound for a minute or so was the music. Ashley was honestly thankful for the music. The silence between them would have been incredibly awkward otherwise.

    "Do you come here often?"

Ash looked up from her lap. "Oh, what? Wait, yeah, sort of. I come here every so often."

Tom rubbed the back of his neck, nodding. "I see." He paused, as if he was debating on saying something. Then: "To be honest, I come here a lot and sometimes I saw you. You usually came alone, sometimes with music and sometimes with a book...”

The jumbled-up nonsense going through Ashley’s mind roughly translated to “So Tom Hiddleston has been going to the same park as me and has been noticing me is this even real”.

“I was hoping I could go and talk to you sooner, but for some reason I just waited until today, when you happened to be untangling a pair of ear buds.” He chuckled quietly. “I’m quite sorry about that. I really should have said this earlier. You seem like an interesting person, Ashley. I’d love to get to know you better.”

Ashley tried her best not to gape and stammered, “O-oh, well, I… That’s...” Oh, geez, did she sound offensive? Hopefully not. “I, um. Thanks.”

Tom smiled. (God, his smile was amazing. It shouldn’t even be legal.) “I’m sorry. I hope I don’t seem like a creeper or anything.”

At this point, the music had sort of drifted out and became part of the background. “O-oh, no, no. You’re fine.”

“Oh, great. I-” Suddenly, Tom’s hand swiftly went over to his pocket and pulled out a phone. His eyes quickly scanned over the screen. “Sorry, Ashley. I’ve got an appointment in a couple minutes, apparently. I guess I forgot.” He gave back her ear bud. “Do you have any paper on you?”

“I… Yes, I do.” Ashley took out a small notepad and pen from her jacket pocket and placed it in his hand.

“Thanks.” He quickly wrote a number on a page then handed it back. “Maybe we can meet up at a restaurant or something later tonight? I’ll call you after my appointment.”

“That’s fine.” It seemed like she was saying that a lot that day.

“I’ll be seeing you, Ashley.” Tom leaned over and placed a kiss on her cheek.
